The Northampton Historical Society meeting will be Monday, the 24th a the Old Northampton Town Hall. Doors open 5:30 for setup and social time and a short business meeting before the presentation. Program to start at about 7:00

Beth Roose will tell us the story behind her book: Tales Of A Civil War Runner.

Discover the incredible story of Isaac Roose, Beth’s 4th great-grandfather, who served as a Runner for General Grant during the Civil War. He was instrumental in delivering critical messages alongside General Rutherford B. Hayes regarding the Confederate naval fleet’s whereabouts and played a key role in protecting the Union’s ship, The Water Witch.

As a special treat, we will showcase actual White House china used by Presidents Grant, Garfield, and Hayes, along with pieces from President Abraham Lincoln!
