We’re staying in the Valley this month as “Skip” Wilson brings us the history of Wilson’s Mill. The mill, located on Canal Road in Valley View, dates from the era of the Ohio Erie Canal, which runs adjacent to the mill. The mill has been in the Wilson family for several generations. Skip is also a Civil War reenactor.

April & May 2020 Meeting
Until further notice, all meetings are cancelled. Only April and May are scheduled before we take the summer break, these are cancelled. September is our next scheduled meeting and we’ll announce it later. If the state ends the shutdown early enough we’ll still try to have a picnic over the summer. Stay tuned and Stay safe.
March 2020 Meeting
Meeting Rescheduled
to April 27 2020 tentatively.
Our meeting for March is being moved up to Monday, March 16th, 2020, new location at the Woodridge Middle School (Library). Spring Break for the Woodridge School District will be during the 4th week of March. Social/Business hour starts at 5:30 pm. Program at 6:30 pm. The guest speaker will be, Mark J. Price from the Akron Beacon Journal. Mark will review many of his interesting and informative articles relating to our local history. I’m sure everyone will like this program.
The reason for the new location is due to repair work that will occur at the Old Northampton Town Hall. The new site, Woodridge Middle School is still within the old Northampton Township. The library is very nice – please attend.
Another meeting of importance is, CF Parks and Recreation will be having public meetings relating to future plans for the CF Parks. The meeting that will include Keyser Park and its history of the Keyser Farmhouse/Barn within Keyser Park will be, Tuesday, March 10, 2020, Woodridge Elementary School, 6:30 pm. Please do your best to attend this meeting and express the need for the historic adaptive reuse of the Keyser Farmhouse/Barn for future generations to enjoy.
Remember the new date for our meeting/program, Monday, March 16, 2020!. Refreshments will be provided.
